Iraqi saying

There is an old Iraqi saying:

الف عين لأجل عين تكرمون

alfu-ayinin li-ajli ayinin tukramoon

"Thousand eyes (people) can be honored because of one eye (person)." *(Meaning, because they are associated with a respectable person, they get respected as well).

NEDERLANDS:

"Duizend ogen (mensen) kunnen geëerd worden wegens één oog (mens)."
