Imam Haskafi al-Hanafi said:

لا حرم للمدينة عندنا ومكة أفضل منها على الراجح إلا ما ضم أعضاءه عليه الصلاة والسلام
فإنه أفضل مطلقا حتى من الكعبة والعرش والكرسي

ENGLISH:

"And Makkah is better than Madinah according to the opinion we give precedence to, except the ground on which the blessed body of the Prophet rests, because without a shadow of doubt, that ground is even better than the Ka'ba, the Arsh and the Kursi!"

NEDERLANDS:

"En Makkah is beter dan Madinah volgens de opinie waar wij voorkeur aan geven, behalve de grond waar de gezegende lichaam van de Profeet vrede zij met hem rust, want dat is zonder twijfel (mutlaqan) beter, zelfs beter dan de Ka'ba, de 'Arsh en de Kursi".

ولا خلاف أن موضع قبره صلى الله عليه وسلم أفضل بقاع الأرض

ENGLISH:

"There is no dispute on the fact that the Prophet's grave is the best place on earth".
