God's blessings and man's ungratefulness

In this life, one of the basic differences between God and human is that God gives and forgives, but human gets and forgets.

Bend or End?

In life, often when we lose hopes and think this is the end, but God says:

"Relax ... it's just a bend, not the end."

Why don’t you wear a kurtha?

Mahatma Gandhi, was not in the habit of wearing a shirt, even during winter or formal meetings. Surprised at this, a little boy asked him,

“Why don’t you wear a kurtha?"

Kurtha is a loose shirt commonly worn in India. Gandhi explained that it was because he was poor and could not afford it. The boy readily agreed to get a kurtha stitched, but Gandhi replied that a single kurtha was not sufficient as he had a large family. He said he needed 400 million kurthas to properly clothe his brothers and sisters.

He was clearly referring to all the poor people of India ...

People would think there's a famine!

"Looking at you, people would think there's a famine in England," to which Shaw responded:

"Looking at you, they'd think you caused it!"

"Complaining to Allah ..."

Ibn Al-Qayyim wrote :

ENGLISH:

"And complaining to Allah does not contradict patience. Ya’qoob promised to have good patience, and if a Prophet promises, he doesn’t break it. Then he said: "I only complain of my grief and sorrow to Allaah". Likewise Ayyub – Allaah informed that He found him to be patient, despite his saying: "Distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy". Rather, complaining ABOUT Allaah contradicts patience, not complaining TO Allaah".

NEDERLANDS:
