Ibn Taymiyah on Ijmaa'

Ibn Taymiyah said :

شيخ الإسلام ابن تيميةرحمه الله(....ولا يوجد مسألة يتفق الإجماع عليها إلا وفيها النص)19/190

ENGLISH:

"There is not a single issue upon which there is a consensus (of the scholars), without there also being textual proof for it (from the Qur'an or Sunnah)."

NEDERLANDS:

"Er is geen enkele kwestie waarover een consensus is, zonder dat daar ook tekstueel bewijs voor is."
