"And one time he said while he was asleep ..."

Shaikh al-Albani’s son, Abdul-Lateef mentioned about his father:

ومن العجائب أنه كان فى النوم يقول : هاتوا كتاب العلل, هاتوا كتاب كذا, هاتوا كتاب كذا, هاتوا الجرح والتعديل, ومرة قال أثناء وهو يحرك يده كهيئة الكاتب هاتوا سنن أبى داود تنحل المشكلة

ENGLISH:

“… From the most amazing experiences is that he used to say in his sleep: "Bring me the book entitled "Al-Ilal". Bring me the book entitled such and such. Bring me the book entitled such and such. Bring me the book entitled "Al-Jarh wat-Ta’deel". And one time he said while he was asleep and while he was moving his hand as someone writing would: "Bring Sunan Abu Dawud and the problem will be solved".

"48 hours before his death ..."

It's narrated regarding Shaykh Nasir Al-Albaani:

و ذكر الشيخ علي بن حسن أن عبداللطيف نجل الشيخ الألباني أخبره أن الشيخ رحمه الله طلب منه قبل نحو ثمانٍ و أربعين ساعة من وفاته إحضار كتاب صحيح سنن أبي داود لينظر فيه شيئا وقع في قلبه و ورد على ذهنه

ENGLISH:

"Shaikh Ali Hasan mentioned that Shaikh Al-Albaani’s son, Abdul-Lateef said that forty-eight hours before his death, the Shaikh, may Allah have mercy upon him, requested that he bring the book Sahih Sunan Abi Daawud to look for something that had crossed his heart and mind".

NEDERLANDS:

"Shaikh Ali bin Hasan heeft overgeleverd dat de AbdulLatief, de zoon van Shaykh Albani, moge Allah hem genadig zijn, zei: Acht en veertig uur voordat de Shaykh stierf, vroeg hij om hem het boek Sahih Sunan Abi Dawud te brengen omdat hij iets wou nachekken dat in zijn gedachten kwam".

"He started to read while on the ladder"

Mahmood Al-Meerah narrated:

أن الشيخ ناصر صعد على السلم في المكتبة الظاهرية ليأخذ كتاباً ، فتناول الكتاب و فتحه ، فبقي واقفاً على السلم يقرأ في الكتاب لمدة تزيد على الست ساعات

ENGLISH:

"Shaikh Naasir climbed up a ladder in the Dhaahiriyyah library in Damascus to take a book, so he got the book and opened it and then started to read it while standing on the ladder and stayed there reading for more than six hours".

NEDERLANDS:

"Shaykh Nasir klom op een ladder om een boek te pakken in Al-Maktabah Al-Dhahiriyah. Hij pakte de boek en opende het. Toen bleef hij meer dan zes uur lang op de ladder lezen".

"... and he will end as a carcass"

Ibn Muflih Al-Hanbali wrote:

قال محمد بن علي : يا عجبا من المختال الفخور الذي خلق من نطفة ثم يصير جيفة لا يدري بعد ذلك ما يفعل به

ENGLISH:

"Muhammad Bin Alee said: "How strange is the arrogant boaster! He was created from a mere sperm cell and he will end as a carcass, not knowing what his future will entail".

NEDERLANDS:

"Muhammad bin Alee bin Hussain zei: "Verbazing wekkend is de hoogmoedige opschepper. Hij die geschapen is vanuit een zaadcel en eindigd als een kadaver, vervolgens weet hij niet wat er met hem gedaan zal worden".

"... and majority of them are Hanbali"

Ibn Kathir wrote about the people of Kilan:

قال ابن كثير في البداية والنهاية (14/50) في أحداث سنة سبع وسبعمائة ، عن أهل كيلان : وبلادهم من أحصن البلاد ، وهم أهلُ سنةٍ ، وأكثرُهم حنابلة ، لا يَستطيعُ مبتدعٌ أن يَسكن بين أظهرهم

ENGLISH:

"And their land is one of the most guarded lands. They are the people of the Sunnah, and majority of them are Hanbali, so the innovators cannot bear living among them".

NEDERLANDS:

"En hun land behoort tot de meest beschermde landen. Zij zijn de mensen van de Sunnah, en de meerderheid van hen zijn Hanbali, dus de innoveerders (mubtadi'ah) kunnen het leven onder hen niet verdragen".

Khallaf Ibn Saalim has said:

كنا في مجلس يزيد بن هارون فمزح مع مستمليه فتنحنح أحمد بن حنبل فقال يزيد من المتنحنح فقيل له أحمد بن حنبل فضرب يزيد على جبينه وقال ألا أعلمتموني أن أحمد هاهنا حتى لا أمزح

ENGLISH:

"We were with Yazeed ibn Haroun and he made a joke. Ahmad ibn Hanbal cleared his throat, and Yazeed said: "Who cleared his throat?" When he found out it who it had been, he put his hand on his forehead and said: "Why didn't you tell me Ahmad was here so I would not joke".

NEDERLANDS:

"Wij waren met Yazeed Ibn Haroen en hij maakte een grap. Imam Ahmad schraapte zijn keel. Yazeed vroeg: "Wie schraapte zijn keel?" Toen hij wist wie het was, plaatste hij zijn hand tegen zijn voorhoofd en zei: "Waarom zeiden jullie niet dat Ahmad hier was, dan zou ik geen grappen vertellen".

"Remind them of the Fire"

Sa'eed narrated that Qataadah said:

قال عمر بن الخطاب ذكروهم النار لعلهم يفرقون فإ حرها شديد وقعرها بعيد وشرابها الصديد ومقامعها الحديد

ENGLISH:

"Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab said: "Remind them of the Fire (Hell), for certainly it’s heat is high, its bottom is deep, it's drink is pus and its weapon is iron".

NEDERLANDS:

"Umar Ibn Al-Khattaab zei: "Je moet hen aan het Vuur (der Hel) herineren, want voorwaar, haar hitte is hevig, haar bodem is diep, haar drank is pus en haar wapens zijn ijzer".
