"The asl (principle) is polygamy"

Shaykh Salih Al-Suhaymi said:

والله عز وجل يقول "فانكحوا ما طاب لكم من النساء مثنى وثلاث ورباع" بدأ بي التثنية ولذلك أذكر أن شيخنا ابن باز رحمه الله وله سلف في هذا يقول إن الأصل هو التعدد وعدم التعدد عند الخوف من أيش؟ عدم العدل فقط

ENGLISH:

"And Allaah says: "Marry women of your choice, two, three or four". [4:3]. Allaah started with two. That's why our Shaykh Ibn Baaz said, and he has predecessors in this matter, he said: "The asl (principle) is to do polygamy". And that it is waived if you fear, for what? For not treating them justly".

NEDERLANDS:

"En Allaah zei: "Trouwt dan met de vrouwen die jullie aanstaan, twee, drie of vier". [4:3]. Allaah begon dus met twee. Daarom zei onze Shaykh Ibn Baaz en hij heeft voorgangers (salaf) in dit kwestie, hij zei: "De asl (principe) is om aan polygamie te doen". En dit wordt tegengehouden, door wat? Als men hen niet rechtvaardig kan behandelen".
