"Like the example of a treasure"

Abu Hurayrah said:

مثل علم لا يعمل به كمثل كنز لا ينفق منه في سبيل الله عز وجل

ENGLISH:

"The example of knowledge upon which (a person) does not act is like the example of a treasure from which (a person) does not spend in the way of Allah, the most High".

NEDERLANDS:

"De gelijkenis van kennis waarnaar niet gehandeld wordt, is net als de kanz (schat) waarvan niet omwille van Allaah, de Verhevene, wordt gespendeerd".
