"Verily, Ibrahim was a nation unto himself"

Ibn Taymiyah says regarding the Ayah:

قال تعالى: إِنَّ إِبْرَاهِيمَ كَانَ أُمَّةً قَانِتًا لِلَّهِ حَنِيفًا [النحل:120].
قال شيخ الإسلام ابن تيمية : أي: كان مؤمناً وحده وكان الناس كفاراً جميعاً

ENGLISH:

"Verily, Ibrahim was a nation unto himself, obedient and pure". [An-Nahl; 120], meaning, he was the only believer, and the rest of the people were all disbelievers".

NEDERLANDS:

"Waarlijk, Ibrahim was een natie opzich". ("An-Nahl", 120), betekenend, hij was de enige gelovige, en de rest van de mensen waren allemaal kuffaar (ongelovigen)."
