“I wouldn’t think of it ... "

The driver of Shaykh Abdul Muhsin Al 'Abbaad narrated:

لما انتهت رئاسة الشيخ للجامعة الإسلامية رأيت الشيخ واقفا أسفل ينتظر فمررت عليه بالسيارة كالعادة لأوصله للمنزل فأبى الركوب وقال: ما دريت أنا قد انتهت مدة رئاستي وقد أرسلت لإبني يأتي ليأخذني

ENGLISH:

"When the presidency of the Shaykh at the Jami'ah Al-Islamiyah ended, I saw him standing on the street waiting, so I passed by him as usual and offered to take him home, but he replied: “I wouldn’t think of it. My term as president has ended and I called my son to come and get me.”

"Toen de voorzitterschap van de Shaykh (Abdul Muhsin Al-Abbaad) voor de Jami'ah Al-Islamiyah eindigde zag ik hem bij de stoep staan. Zoals gewoonlijk reed ik naar hem toe, om hem thuis af te zetten, maar hij zei: "Ik zou er niet aan denken. Mijn voorzitterschap heeft nu geëindigd. Ik heb mijn zoon gevraagd om mij op te komen halen".
