“I was with Ayyûb Al-Sakhtiyânî while he was washing [the body] of Shu’ayb b. Al-Habhâb, saying, ‘Anyone who wishes for the death of a person from Ahl Al-Sunnah has wished for the light of Allâh to be extinguished; but Allâh will keep His light complete, even though the unbelievers may hate it.

"Abu'd-Darda was in the land of Ash-Shaam and he wrote to Salmaan al-Farsi, "Come immediately to the holy land." Salman wrote back to him, "Land does not make anyone holy. Man's deeds make him holy".

"When some money was stolen from a righteous man who lived in Khurassaan, he began to weep. Fudayl, who saw him in that state, asked: "Why do you cry?" He replied: "I remembered that Allah shall gather me and the thief on the Day of Judgement, and I cried, feeling pity for him".

"Martyrs were killed in Qandahar (in Afghanistan), and Umar asked the companions: "Who was killed?" They mentioned some names to him and then they said: "And people whom you do not know". Umar's eyes filled with tears and he said: "But Allaah knows them".

"Al-Usuli the worshipper said: "I was with Ibn al-Mubarak raiding on a cold, rainy night. He wept and I said, 'Are you weeping for the like of this?' He said, 'I am weeping for the previous nights which did not have the like of this hardship so that we could be rewarded for them.'

"Yusuf bin Asbaat said: "Dawud inherited 20 dinar, and these he consumed in twenty years!" Abu Na'eem said: "Dawud drank but he did not eat, and he said: "Between this and eating the bread I can recite fifty verses of the Koran". And on a day, a person came to his house and said: "The roof of the apartment is broken", he said: "O son of my brother, I've been living in this house for twenty years, and I had not looked at the roof (due to being occupied with al-akhirah)".

ENGLISH:
"And in the hadith is narrated that the Prophet said: "Whomever saw a papers (kitab) of his brother without his permission, has seen the Hellfire". Ibn Athir said in "Al-Nihayah": "And this is specifically with regards to papers in which a secret or amanah is kept which the owner wants to remain hidden". I say: And it has been said that this is a general statement regarding all papers".

"I asked Abu Hanifah regarding a man who touches the private parts of his wife and vice versa, is there anything wrong with this?" He replied: "There is nothing wrong with that, and I hope that their (spiritual) reward will be great."NEDERLANDS:

"Allah revealed to Prophet Dawud, peace be upon him: "O Dawud! Make sandals out of iron (to walk upon) and make a staff out of iron (to lean upon) and keep searching for knowledge until your sandals and staff are disintegrated".

"More than one person has told me that they sought my help, and each of them told me a different story. I told each one of them that I did not answer any one of them and I did not know that they were seeking my help. It was said that this was an angel, I said: Angels do not help the mushrik".
