"Anyone who wishes for the death of a person"

Hammad Ibn Zayd said:

حضرتُ أيوب السختياني وهو يغسل شعيب بن الحبحاب وهو يقول: إن الذين يتمنون موت أهل السنة يريدون أن يطفئوا نور الله بأفواههم والله متم نوره ولو كره الكافرون

ENGLISH:

“I was with Ayyûb Al-Sakhtiyânî while he was washing [the body] of Shu’ayb b. Al-Habhâb, saying, ‘Anyone who wishes for the death of a person from Ahl Al-Sunnah has wished for the light of Allâh to be extinguished; but Allâh will keep His light complete, even though the unbelievers may hate it.

Ik was aanwezig bij Al-Sakhtiyani toen hij het lichaam van Al-Habhab aan het wassen was en hij was aan het zeggen: "Eenieder die om de dood van ahlusunah wenst heeft om de uitdoving van Allah's Licht gewenst en Allah zal Zijn Licht vervolmaken, ook al zijn de ongelovigen daar afkerig van!"
