ENGLISH:

"Shaykh Ash-Shinqeetee who died on 1393H, took very little from this worldly life, and I used to see him and he could not differentiate between the values of different (notes within the same) currency, and he once said to me: "I came from my country (Mauritania) and with me is a treasure that is very seldom found, and it is contentment”.

"Shaykh Muhammad Al-Ameen Ash-Shanqeetee, die in 1393H stierf, nam weinig van de dunyaa. Ik zou hem ontmoeten en hij kon niet eens de verschillende muntsoorten van elkaar onderscheiden! Hij zei een keer tegen mij: "Ik kwam uit mijn land (Muritania) en ik heb een schat meegenomen die heel zeldzaam is, namelijk tevreden zijn met wat je hebt".
