"I saw At-Thawri went into Sujud"

Ali Bin Al-Fudayl said:

رأيت سفيان الثوري ساجدا حول البيت فطفت سبعة أشواط قبل أن يرفع رأسه

ENGLISH:

"I saw ath-Thawri went into Sujud while praying, and I performed Tawaf around the House seven times before he raised his head from Sujud."

NEDERLANDS:

"Ik zag Imaam Sufyan At-Thawri prostreren tijdens het gebed (sajdah), en ik ging zeven keer rond het Huis (de Ka'ba) voordat hij zijn hoofd weer van prostratie ophief!"

Ibn Wahb said:

رأيت الثوري في الحرم بعد المغرب ، صلى ثم سجد سجدة ، فلم يرفع حتى نودي بالعشاء

ENGLISH:

"I saw At-Thawri prostrate in Masjid al-Haram after Maghrib. He did not raise his head until the call for Isha was given".

NEDERLANDS:

"Ik zag At-Thawri in de Masjid Al-Haram na Maghrib. Hij was aan het bidden en ging prostreren. Hij rees zijn hoofd niet op tot de oproep tot Ishah gebed werd gegeven!"
