“The Isnad is part of the religion"

Abdullah Ibn Mubarak said:

الإسناد من الدين، ولولا الإسناد لقال من شاء ما شاء

ENGLISH:

“The Isnad is part of the religion.  If it were not for the Isnad anyone would say whatever he wishes to say.”

NEDERLANDS:

"Isnad is onderdeel van religie. Ware het niet voor de isnad, dan zou iedereen gezegd kunnen hebben wat zij willen".
