"Only if you could stop the sun from revolving"

Shaykh Abu Ghudah writes:

نُقِل عن عامر بن قيس أحد التابعين الزهاد : أن رجلاً قال له : كلمني ، فقال له : عامر بن قيس : أمسك الشمس يعني أوقف لي الشمس واحبسها عن المسير حتى أُكلمك ، فإن الزمن متحرك لا يعود بعد مروره

ENGLISH:

"Its narrated on the authority of Aamir bin Qays, he was one of the tabi'een and a zaahid, that a man said to him: "Talk to me", so Aamir bin Qays answered: "Only if you could stop the sun from revolving". He meant stopping its rotation until the end of this (useless) conversation, because verily, time goes by and it never ever returns ...
