"Do not sell your house"

Muhammad Ibn Ali said:

أراد جار لأبي حمزة السكري أن يبيع داره، فقيل له: بكم؟ قال: بألفين ثمن الدار، وبألفين جوار أبي حمزة، فبلغ ذلك أبا حمزة فوجه إليه بأربعة آلاف، وقال له: لا تبع دارك

ENGLISH:

"A neighbour of Abu Hamza Al-Sukkari wanted to sell his house and when he was asked about the price, he said: "Two thousand for the house and two thousand for having Abu Hamza as your neighbour". When Abu Hamza heard about this incident, he sent him four thousand (as a gift) and said: "Do not sell your house".

"Een buurman van Abu Hamzah As-Sukkari wou zijn huis verkopen en toen er aan hem gevraagd werd hoeveel hij ervoor wou hebben, antwoordde hij: "2000 voor het huis en 2000 voor het verliezen van Abu Hamzah als buurman."
