"If a Muslim enters Dar Al-Harb"

Ibn Humam al-Hanafi said:

وقال ابن همام الحنفي في شرح فتح القدير 6/17 : إذا دخل المسلم دار الحرب تاجراً، فلا يحل له أن يتعرض لشيء من أموالهم ودمائهم، لأنه بالاستئمان ضمن لهم أن لا يتعرض لهم، فإخلافه غدر، والغدر حرام بالإجماع.

ENGLISH:

"If a Muslim enters Dār al-harb as a merchant, it is not allowed for him to intrude upon anything from their wealth or blood. By them giving him security it includes that he will not reject security to them, so opposing it is betrayal and betrayal is Harām by agreement".

NEDERLANDS:

"Als een Moslim de daarul-harb als een zakenman (taajer) binnentreedt, dan is het niet toegestaan (halal) voor hem om hun rijkdommen ('amwal) af te pakken of hun bloed te vergieten. Want zij schenken hem slechts veiligheid op de voorwaarde dat zij ook veilig zijn voor hem, en daar tegeningaan is bedrog (ghadr) en bedriegerij is haram met ijma'a (consensus)".
