Al-Mardawi on Istiadhah

Al-Mardawi says in "Al-Insaaf":

وقال المرداوي في الإنصاف 2/456
وقال الإمام أحمد وغيره من العلماء : في قوله عليه أفضل الصلاة والسلام " أعوذ بكلمات الله التامات من شر
ما خلق " : الاستعاذة لا تكون بمخلوق

ENGLISH:

"Imam Ahmad and other ulama (scholars) proved with the saying of the Prophet: "I seek refuge in the Perfect Word of Allah, against the evil of what He has created", that refuge cannot be sought in creation".

NEDERLANDS:

"Imam Ahmad en andere ulama (geleerden) bewezen met de woorden van de profeet: "Ik zoek toevlucht in de perfecte Woord van Allaah tegen het kwade van wat Hij heeft geschapen", dat toevlucht (isti'adhah) niet genomen kan worden in de schepping (makhloeqaat)".
