"Who is the most steadfast?"

Ibn Abi Dunya writes:

حدثنا علي بن إبراهيم السهمي قال حدثنا داود بن المحبر قال حدثنا همام بن يحيى قال قلنا لقتادة أي الناس أغبط قال أعقلهم قلنا أعلمهم قال أعقلهم

ENGLISH:

"Qataadah was asked: "Who is the most steadfast amongst the people?" He said: "A'qaluhum (the most intelligent one)". We said: "A'lamuhum (the most knowledgeable one)?" He said: "A'qaluhum (the most intelligent one)".

NEDERLANDS:

"Qataadah werd gevraagd: "Wie onder de mensen is de standvastigste?" Hij zei: "A'qaluhum (de verstandigste)". Wij zeiden: "A'lamuhum (degene die het meeste weet)?" Hij zei: "A'qaluhum (de verstandigste)".
