"Accept them and do not ask them anything"

Imam Ahmad said:

وقال أحمد: إذا ركب القوم في البحر، فاستقبلهم فيه تجار مشركون من أرض العدو يريدون بلاد الإسلام، لم يعرضوا لهم ولم يقاتلوهم، وكل من دخل بلاد المسلمين من أهل الحرب بتجارة، بويع ولم يسأل عن شيء

ENGLISH:

"If you are upon a ship and you come across merchants from the disbelievers from the enemies land to the Muslims land, you are not allowed to reject them or kill them, and all who enter the land of the Muslims from the people or war as merchants, accept them and do not ask them anything'.

NEDERLANDS:

"Als je in een schip bent en je komt handelaren van de ongelovigen tegen die uit de landen van de vijanden naar de landen van Islaam komen – dan is het niet toegestaan om hun te verdrijven of hen te doden. Iedere handelaar van de mensen met wie wij in oorlog zijn die de landen van de Moslims wilt intreden – mag binnen zonder ondervragingen".
