سأل رجل تميم بن أوس الداري فقال له : كيف صلاتك بالليل ؟ فغضب غضباً شديداً ثم قال : والله لركعة أصليها في جوف الليل في السر أحب إلي من أن أصلي الليل كله ، ثم أقصه على الناس

ENGLISH:

"A man asked Tameem ibn Aws al-Daari: ‘How do you pray at night?’ He got very angry and said, ‘By Allaah, one rak’ah that I pray in secret in the small hours of the night is more beloved to me than praying the whole night long and then telling people about it".

"Iemand vroeg aan Tamim Ibn Aws al-Darie: "Hoe verricht u uw nacht gebeden?" Hij werd daar erg boos om en zei: "Walaahi, dat ik zelfs één rak'ah gebed in het geheim verricht tijdens de nacht uren is mij geliefder dan dat ik de hele nacht bid en dan de mensen daarover informeer!"
