"Hold yourself unto the main body"

At-Tabari said:

قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم : " عليك بالسواد الأعظم " ، ومن فارق الجماعة مات ميتة جاهلية

ENGLISH:

"The Prophet has said: "Hold yourself unto the main body (majority)". And the one who turns his back to the jama'ah dies the death of al-jahiliyah".

NEDERLANDS:

"De Profeet heeft gezegd: "Houd je vast aan de grote meerderheid". En degene die de jama'ah (gemeenschap) verlaat sterft aan de dood van jahiliyah (pre-islam)".
